Hello DIY enthusiasts. Today I’m going to take you into a little more detail on my tabletop that we built for my DIY Farmhouse Table. I’ve had a question or two on how we managed to assemble a single piece 4′ by 8′ table top out of lumber. Since this is after creation the pictures aren’t amazing but I’ll do my best to talk you through it! As always any questions can be posted in the comments or you can reach me through the contact form on my about page. Read more

I have always loved the look of an upholstered headboard, to me it looks and feels like an adult bed. This was a big project, the only furniture I built this summer. This post will link to to several others as it was quite a process and really breaks down into several steps. That way you can see take the whole process of each separate element of the bed.
Grandma’s Dishcloth: Learning What I Do Wrong Knitting
Well another first for me, my first dishcloth. I know it seems like a real rookie project, but I needed a break from the tiny yarn, and tiny needles that I’m using for my baby hats I’m producing for all the winter babes coming this Christmas.
DIY Super Cute Linen Knot Tote
This DIY was inspired by the project done by the Sewing Rabbit. I made the first one in an evening and got faster as I went, however, the original poster claims you can make this in 30 minutes – which I did not find to be the case.
DIY Decor Stick Frame Re-Do
This DIY is a re-do of a previous DIY I did last summer – find that here. The old home of the frame got a facelift, which means this guy had to find a new home in a new room with a new colour theme. I used paint that we had leftover from doing a small accent wall in our main floor bathroom so it literally cost me nothing. Read more
DIY Starfish Framed Mirrors $20 CAD
This summer while I was learning how to use my Kreg Jig I made several frames out of some scrap pallets that were lying around. I knew I wanted to DIY some wall art. I originally wanted to put the starfish inside the frame but my centre hole was too small (poor planning on my part). However, I really like how they turned out! Find my Kreg Jig Tutorial here.
DIY Farmhouse Bench Tutorial 55$ CAD
Today I am going to take you for a walk through all of my furniture building. It’s long over due and hopefully really helpful. Please send me any questions in the comments or through my contact form on my About page, I am happy to help. This tutorial is specifically for the bench, but its all the same. You can modify my instructions below and make the Farmhouse Coffee Table, Farmhouse Console Table, or even my masterpiece the Farmhouse Dining Table. I apologize if I’m not using the proper carpentry terms – remember I just started!
DIY Christmas Tree Skirt for $10 CAD
Last Christmas I made this little tree skirt, from an IKEA blanket that cost around $10 CAD. I cut it into triangles and matched up the ends and sewed them into a round skirt. Remember to leave a gap so you can easily get it on and off the tree. I tucked the tails inside, and top stitched them so that they don’t pop out.
