I accidentally had too much marinade in the not so distant past. I thought to myself, I’ll just freeze it on the chicken. And I did. And what do you know? It was excellent. So excellent I now do it on purpose. I buy my chicken in bulk when it’s on sale. And I’ll do 2 or 3 different marinades and freeze them. The best part is when I go to eat it I just pull it out in the morning. It thaws and marinades all day and supper tastes like a lot of effort. And in summer we’ve just been grilling so I let my Mr do all the cooking! Yay me! And Yay summer freezer meals!
I’ve done 5 different marinades so far. All are really good: Grilled Rosemary Chicken, Coconut Lime Chicken, Chili Lime Chicken Wings (for drumsticks) and the Best Grilled Chicken (which is a beer marinade). I’ve also frozen Chrissy Teigen’s Chicken Satay from her Cravings cookbook and that is wonderful too!
If you have a marinade I need to try please share. 💕 I’m all for suggestions.
