DIY Rustic Wedding Invitations

cricut, cuttlebug, provo craft, wedding, invitation, rustic, peach, coral, flowersLast weekend a group of ladies came over and we created 50 handmade, custom invitations for a young couple getting married this summer. I used my Cricut to cut out all the inserts and a cheap punch to make the coloured confetti and punch the flowers on the front(it was in the dollar bucket at Michael’s).

The brown paper on the inside left was purchased with the slight embossing, however we did use my cuttlebug to emboss the cover. We made sure that the cover was the identical size of my embossing folder so that it came out really clean.

They turned out very similar to mine because we were on such a short timeline that I didn’t have a lot of time to get creative. However biased I may be, I still think they look super adorable and the Bride loves them too.

The content is scripted in Goudy Trojan font and reads:

BRIDE’S PARENTS WITH GROOM’S PARENTS
INVITE YOU TO THE WEDDING OF
BRIDE’S FULL NAME
TO
GROOM’S FULL NAME
WEEKDAY, MONTH DAY, YEAR
AT TIME O’CLOCK
(ADORABLE PICTURE OF lOVE BIRDS)
THE SASKATOON FARM
DE WINTON, AB
IF YOU WERE THINKING OF GIVING US A GIFT TO HELP US ON OUR WAY
A GIFT OF MONEY IN A CARD WOULD REALLY MAKE OUR DAY.

Look at how perfect it is with that little bow popping out of the top of the envelope!

It took about 10 of us 5 hours to craft these and the total cost was about $75 in paper products, with enough left over materials to create thank you cards, and place cards.
